Brumo Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Brumo is a driving theory practice app made by MiniGamr LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Brumo has no accounts: you never give us your email, a password or a phone number to use it.

Brumo is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government agency or driving test provider.

What stays on your device

These never leave your iPhone or iPad:

What we collect

Usage analytics

We record how the app is used (for example: a lesson was started or finished, a screen was viewed, a paywall was shown) together with the app version, device model, iOS version, language, the device's region setting, an approximate country derived from the network connection (the address itself is not stored with events) and a random install identifier created by the app. We use this to fix confusing screens and improve lessons. It is not used for advertising and is not linked to your name.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or hangs, it sends a technical report (stack trace, app version, device model, iOS version, the random install identifier). Crash reporting is always on, because it is how we find and fix bugs. Crash reports contain no lesson answers and no personal details.

Purchases

If you subscribe or buy Brumo Pro, Apple processes the payment. We never see your card or Apple Account details. The app sends the App Store transaction record (product, purchase date, renewal and expiry status, transaction identifiers) to our server so your Pro access works and can be restored. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings.

Invites (referrals)

To count friends you invite and unlock rewards, the app creates a random referral device identifier, stored in the device keychain, and sends it to our server with your invite code and your friends' join status. When someone opens an invite link before installing the app, our server stores the invite code with a salted hash of the network address prefix (never the address itself), the iOS version and the browser language, so the app can match the invite after install. This match is attempted automatically outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and only when you open the invite code field inside them. A visit can only be matched within 2 hours of opening the link.

Lesson downloads

The app downloads lesson packs from our server. These requests carry your chosen region, license type and language plus the app version in the standard request header, and no personal identifier. Like any web request, they reach our host with your network address, which is used to deliver the response and is not stored with your choices.

What we do not do

Service providers

We use our own servers (hosted on Cloudflare and DigitalOcean) for lessons, invites, analytics, crash reports and purchase records. Apple processes payments and the App Store review prompt. These providers process data only to run the service for us.

How long we keep data

Your choices and rights

Children

Brumo is meant for people preparing for a driving license test. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
